Alpine in the Winter

Alpine is just as much of a winter destination as it is a summer one.

A year-round outdoor paradise, the colder temperatures bring a touch of magic and new ways to explore out Wyoming wonderland.

Alpine sits between two national forests, the Bridger-Teton National Forest and the Caribou Targhee National Forest. With such vast and accessible protected and managed federal land surrounding Alpine Valley RV Resort, there are miles and miles of groomed and non-groomed trails for all kinds of winter sports. A snowmobiler’s heaven, snowmobiles can access the Bridger-Teton National Forest right from downtown Alpine. Those that wish to snowshoe can explore either our downtown trails or venture a little bit further south and access snowshoe-specific trails in Star Valley Ranch. Thanks to the town of Alpine, there are also groomed snowshoe and cross country ski trails on the Palisades lake bed. The Palisades reservoir also calls to those who are looking to go ice fishing.

Needless to say, Alpine is an outdoor adventurer’s paradise, both in the summer and the winter!
