Alpine makes a great base-camp for your Teton adventure!
Start your day with a 13 mile Scenic float with Dave Hansen River trips. This relaxing float meanders down the Snake River just west of the town of Jackson. The Tetons and the Snake River views are magnificent, so bring your camera!
When you get back to town after the float, grab a quick lunch to take with you up to String lake where you can picnic on the water nestled under the Tetons. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuits, the crystal clear water is most appealing on a hot summer day!
If you’re interested in hiking, there is a great beginners hike that goes around String lake!
On your way back down to Alpine, don’t forget to stop at Jackson Town Square and get your picture taken underneath the iconic antler arches!
