A Full Day in Alpine, Wyoming

Welcome to Alpine, Wyoming! We are so happy that you chose to stay with us on your trip! Alpine rests in a nook of the Bridger- Teton National Forest where the Snake River and Greys River merge into the Palisades Reservoir. Alpine has a small town atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of it’s touristy neighbor Jackson.

What might fill your day in Alpine?

Well there is so much that you might even want to make it two! To start your day you may want to grab breakfast at the Yankee Doodle’s Cafe which is a short drive or walk from the park. They serve Jackson Hole Roasters coffee which is the perfect way to start your morning. We’ve heard that Marietta’s omelette is delicious! If you’re looking for something more “grab and go”, you could grab coffee and donuts at Delish, where they specialize in the mini donut! Our favorite is the maple bacon donut! You may want to grab a dozen for a late morning snack.

Your next stop in Alpine should be back to the RV Park to catch the bus for a wild trip down the Snake River with Dave Hansen White Water! We can suit you up in a wetsuit at our office and send you on your way for this paddling venture! Don’t worry, this trip is suitable for ages 6 and up! If you’re looking for something on the calmer side, we offer a 13 mile scenic river float as well, which is a great option for those looking for a relaxing float with great views. You might even spot a moose!

After you’ve worn yourself out a little, you can refuel and dry off at The Taco Bus, which is our favorite Mexican food in all of Jackson Hole! They have picnic tables which make for a perfect outdoor lunch.

For a more relaxed afternoon once you’ve finished lunch, try a horseback ride with Rockin M Ranch horseback rides. Take in the breathtaking views from a mountainous ride into the National Forest.

When you get back to Alpine and are ready to wind down for the night, you can grab dinner at the Bull Moose Saloon. If you’re not quite ready to “hit the hay”, The Bull Moose Saloon has Karaoke on Fridays starting at 8pm! However if you’d prefer something a little less rowdy, head on back to our Park and relax by the fire as the sun sets. We’ve got all your s’more fixins’ available at our office.

Other ideas for day time adventures in Alpine include hikes in Bridger-Teton National forest. Kayaking or Stand up Paddle Boarding on the Palisades Reservoir,  daily rentals are available at Greys River Sports. There is also  Alpine Adventure Rentals which has boats, jet skis,  ATVs and side-by-sides, so whether you want to experience Wyoming on land or water, Alpine Adventure Rentals has you covered.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the options, feel free to give us a call and we can help you plan your perfect day in Alpine! We look forward to seeing you!
